These AtticBoards did not meet the muster of quality control, and we are offering these at 20% off retail price. There is nothing inherently wrong with these on a functional level, and they are not any less safe than our regular boards - these boards are just "ugly." Some have staining, scratches, and some minor tearing in the grip tape, but the boards themselves are 100% the same high quality. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NO RETURNS ARE OFFERED ON THESE. These are a mix of the standard hazard yellow and orange colored boards - you may get yellow, you may get orange, you may get both.

**WARNING** The Original AtticBoard does not guarantee your attic safety. Attics are inherently dangerous with tripping, electrical, puncture, pest, lack-of-oxygen, confined space and other dangers. Please make certain that joists and other support structures in the attic you are working in are installed correctly and secured. This product must be laid on top of secure attic joists which are free of insulation or other debris, and completely flat and free of nails, staples,etc. This product must be laid across (3) 16-in on-center joists lengthwise or (2) 24-in on-center joists lengthwise or (2) 16-in on-center joists widthwise.

My so called factory second was visually perfect in my opinion. Little flaky maybe, but considering is made to work in the attic I don't really care of any defects. I wish it was a little lighter, but it is a great product, nice place to sit while doing some work up there. I used it to install some electrical boxes and it was very helpful. One of those things you'll use it once and hopefully never again, but great to have when you needed. I would say it is a bit expensive, but hey, I don't currently have the tools, time or will to make my own, so I would still recommend it if you are in this situation of doing work in the attic. I'll be replacing my insulation soon, so it is going to be incredibly helpful.

Very handy for working in the attic. I like how they span three joists and provide great support while kneeling or standing. I purchased factory seconds thinking there would be cosmetic issues. I looked at both sides and could not find any visible flaws. Great product.

Exactly what I needed to deal with a rodent issue in a customers attic! Factory Seconds work just fine. Trust me….you’re gonna make them look like this even when they don’t have blemishes. Product integrity is what matters and these worked great!
